How do I become a successful online poker player?

Hey everyone... long time reader! Iʼm hoping to get some advice/assistance from some of the more experienced players on the forum.

Iʼm not a beginner at poker by any means, but Iʼd probably consider myself a “beginner”at online poker per se... or, at least in comparison to most of my opponents at the onlinetables!

I really just want be a better online player and possibly generate some $ in the process(as I think some of you are doing?)...

I know we live in a day and age with limitless resources-- but I think thatʼs been a problem for me lol-- I donʼt know where I should be focusing my efforts!

Iʼve looked at poker books, internet articles, forum posts... Iʼve even searched “how to become a successful online poker player” on YouTube! (*believe it or not, that youtube search was by far the most useful!!!)

What do you guys (you guys that are consistently generated $ at online poker) think?

I really appreciate any/all input on this matter.

Hard to answer really. but here goes.....

VOLUME...

The keyword really, as no matter the level you play at you WILL be muffed, YOU will be out drawn and you WILL 100% have AA crushed by a hero hand player; so you have to let it be water off a ducks back.

That said,play games that your comfy in, not just in buy-in value, but be realistic in game skill... if you play a $100 RB or $55 FR; sure there might be a few weak players or Sat entries at your tab, but the others are in there regular zone which might be an issue later in the game.

Treat large GTD's on small entry as fun, no matter how good you are to beat 18,000 players in a $10 game requires as much luck as it does skill, so play games that have smaller fields for regular cash places, and last but not least; revue your game on a regular basis best time is the day after in the cold hard light of day, make notes on players at that particular level helps but is no golden goose as how say I play in a $8 rebuy is nothing like I play in $100 rebuy.
