I know it's my first post and am probably not the best person to take advice from (and I only play micro stakes) but I fell into a trap so just to help people avoid it.

This last week I was starting to build a bankroll anyway after getting close to £20 on the cash games started with a fiver i got stuck trying to get over it after today crashing the bank roll to £8 and then reading another post on here. I went back through the hands and realised the hands I have been playing are what people who normally play at these stakes would play seems i got to wrapped up trying to get past the 20 and sucked out major badly.

anyway thanks to the guy who wrote the post earlier in this section about not using pt2 or pt3 though it was actually pt3 that helped me lol!

I read a post somewhere about micro stakes entitled K.I.S.S

it meant Keep It Simple Stupid

it basically said that abc poker is proftable at those levels, forget about making plays or bluffs - play stong hands strongly and weak hands weakly etc

    hi hoppy,

    welcome to our sps forum!

and wise words Neil: a simple overly tight game will often reap the rewards at micro levels. Go for overbets on strong hands more often than slow plays, theres not as much need to get tricksy at these levels, people are often willing to call off their whole stack.

    Gl on the tables!
