Im getting a lot of these hands with a pair in my whole cards and am a little unsure how to play them!!

Should i be looking to always limp in with them to catch a set??

Its pretty unusual for people to be bluffing in omaha especially with 5 other limpers behind. I'd of made exactly the same fold.

While your at the these levels if you decide to raise with 9s it is likely that everyone who has already put 2c into the pot will come along anyway.

hey hoppy - yup hand played fine m8.

you cant raise pre oop with such a bad hand, and you certainly shouldnt be betting or calling on the flop.

Although A994 looks nice to a hold'em player, its relly quite a poor hand in omaha, tho worth making up the sb to flop a set.

Mid table id be raising or calling with something like J1099 or 9987 but A994 just isnt good enough. With any pairs really you should be looking to hit a set or fold - even QQ KK etc usually arent good enough to take a pot down on their own.

With so many hands out there in omaha, you really need to be looking for 4 cards which work together. 9987 is great because if you hit a set you might have a str8 draw, etc.

Also be aware that the gap in a str8 hand makes a difference - for instance T987 is much better than J 987, because more of the str8s it make are nut str8s.
