Lose the "er" and the "?" and that would be a fine reply.

Re: good news
Unsure if it's a good team, so hence the "Er" & "?" Squire.

Would that matter? The boy has joined, his dad has posted with pride, what else do you need to know?

Re: good news
ty all,we went up last night and met peter beardsly and all his staff(lovely fellow btw)and kearen met his new teamates,he knows a few off county football,so this should make it easier for him to settle in,he going to be training 3 nights a week, and a game every saturday,so be tuff on the boy with his schoolwork too,(which i tell him is more important than his footy)but a step up can only be good for him,be a shame leavin his current team(wallsend boys club)as he played there since he was 8
but cant wait to get started, ty all again and i will let you no his progress

Re: good news
Best of luck to the lad, hooders. A fantastic opportunity for him to really develop his skills and turn into a great prospect.
As for the club, as Khenny says, it doesn't really matter. For hooders though, I'm sure it's massive!
Keep him at that school work as well, hooders, you never know when you'll need it and the harsh reality is that footballers who make a living from the game are few and far between. Those that do, and actually have a brain, are even scarcer on the ground.
Tell him very well done from me.

My sons friend Danny Wilson did it exactly the same way from about the same age m8. He is now playing for Rangers first team and is the youngest ever Scottish player to play in the Champions League.
Tell Kearen all it takes is everything he's got, so he already has everything he needs to play for the toon.
