    Hi All,

A newbie here - been playing poker now for around 5 years, all of that time on the laddies w/site and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of any other sites with better MTT's. Ideally im not after comps were 2million people play(ok slight exageration). Ideally comps were 3-400 people play, buyin around $10.

    Thanks

A reasonably priced tourney with a reasonable field starting and finishing at a reasonable time.
Would you like to play on a site which allows other players to win the odd mtt and not just the chosen few?
A site where you could almost believe the cards are random!

Seriously, IMO I think you are better entering tourneys with a scary sized field of up to 3000 its gonna take 8-9 hrs to complete, but the rewards for going deep are bigger too, so if you are working its a matter of playing at weekends and starting early afternoon. You never know you might win it.
So its pokerstars for me, quality and quantity bounce

During the week if you are looking to lose $10 every half hour play on Ladbrokes. affraid

Ok here goes (ill wait for the comments on this one)

Ive played them all, FT Stars Laddies Pkr etc etc, all in hope that the game will be more rewarding elsewhere.

    ITS NOT THE SITE.

    IT WAS ME.

You need to find a format that your good at.

Take me... i love the deep stacks, 5000chips 8000chips even 40000chips on the old deeper and steeper on pkr and these are the ones i like most, and tend to do better at.
    Poker stars, 5000 runners coming 110th :-)

Ok ive played alot of SNG's on Pkr and Laddies and won a few.
These SNG;s keep my attention going while im in the bigger games.

I have blamed sites, Donks and the number genetator for my losses and its not that.

It was me playing games im SHIT at.

So id suggest you look at the type of games you do well in and play them.

If you want value for ya efforts, then dont play the $5 deep stacks lets say because for the 5hrs graft you wont make alot unless u hit the final 10% of runners, and even then it can be a small ROI for ya afforts.

Look at the $11 buy in tourneys on Stars.
Ask Evo to give you a run down of the kinda games to look at....He once did it for me and they are a nice sat of games to play.
(just dropped u into it there Evo...hope ya dont mind lol)

If like Alex says you work i the week, then the 5000 deep stack on Laddies at 7.15pm isnt for you. Unless you can work a full day and then sit down at 7pm and go to bed at 3am a winner. Then up for work again.

Weekend play.. I look at PKR and Laddies, as this past 2 weeks ive done well on Laddies, in the week and over the weekend.

    Gl wherever u play mate.
If its laddies or Pkr feel free to come say hello.

    Peace out Homie.

    Hi Laucon and welcome.

    Good rep Dan.

Depends on what you call better MTT,s . Days and times you like to play ?

If you want high GTD's then i'm affraid your going to get high field size's; although that said later entry especial on stars games with 15min blind structures can reduce 1k start fields down to 700 or less by 1st break, you will of cause be comming in with 3k stack on blinds around 50/100. But depending on your playing style, and confidance this can be a very profitable way to enter.

You will find on Fulltilt and stars the field size for "regular" games with no GTD pool hit 250 - 400 players depending on the start time and day you play.

Ongame or Ipoker networks offer average field sizes, but unless your entering re-buy games the pool size tends to be on the lower side.

I know this game is out of your $10 range but play less often and then try the $20k $22 freez on Stars, starts at 6pm entry open until 7pm; mon - Thur will have 1100 average players 1400 - 1800 |Fri - Sun but the FT is made by 11.30 - 12pm so even going deep does not mean missing work the next day; although stars payout structure is now geared to causual players so long pay down structure, real money is top 5 only but 1st will still be around 14 - 16% of pool.

For weekends then try the $70k $3 re-buy on stars, starts around 7 but don't join until 7.59pm as on Sundays start stack is $2k and $2k re-buy then 10mins later take the add-on for $3 worth 4k giving total of 8k and blinds at 75/150 long game though and will FT around 2-3am long cash out list as field will be high and so pays around 500+ places but even a low cash will be $16 ish and 1st will be $15k ish.

Good luck where ever you play, and if you can give an idea of days and times, i could detail a few other games that may suit.

    Under statement !!!

But if ya want a all nighter as a side game then not all that bad, but done 13hr's while in the sun mill 5 weeks ago all for a $135 cash 24th ish i think (cant really remember to be honest.

But remember was around $10 hr yield, cashed sun mill that week though, I have to be in a mellow mood to play it due to a long grind (or a few drinks !, so never a sunday) .

Trouble with this type of structure is that you get dragged into a NITTY game, and the longer it goes on the more dragged in you become, if you can flip the action switch and not become dulled by the nitty table then a payout for the FT.
