Missed Value??

I think i missed a couple of bets here... heres my thinking!!

Have a limper thats a limp defender on B so i raise preflop and get called predictably, i have seen him make a call on the river with 3rd pair.. so cbet expecting a call and duly obliges... heres where i think i went wrong... Should i have check called or check raised the turn if he bet??? Feel i may be worrying too much that as soon as a flush draw shows upi should be betting for protection!!

You were probably lucky to get the flop bet out of him. He probably saw the bet on the flop as a C-bet bluff and hope he hit the turn missed and just gave it up. but im no pro and its unlikely he knows what a cbet is at this level.

that or he has qj and gave it up because he wasnt getting pot odds, cant see any sort of a gutshot happening with a bet of near the pot but that sometimes that happens.
