Re: omaha poll
Hi Carn,
I don't profess to be any kind of Omaha expert or anything but from all the literature I've read, most of those statements can be true. If it's a game about big draws (which is the option I went for) then it's also about making big lay downs.
In hold em I'd never lay down a straight on the flop, but I've done it many times in Omaha (normally the shitty end of it).
There is also reward for some other tactics. The only one I don't really go with is the agression one, however it is a winning tactic in certain games at certain times. Take Omaha cash for instance, I won't enter a pot (usually) unless I'm raising.
btw and well played in the Omaha the other night.

Re: omaha poll
ok in order....
Omaha is mostly about big draws
Omaha is mostly about making big folds
Omaha is mostly about being tight
Omaha is mostly about all out aggression
Omaha is mostly about making big calls
I find in omaha cash you can be fairly passive, assuming you have someone else being aggressive, so thats pretty low, and making big calls is last because, erm, it is. lol. Being tight would be higher but i like to be loose preflop in cash, and tight post.

Re: omaha poll
Thanks guys and voters.
I chose mostly big folds cause i think thats whats seen me through on this good patch.
Maybe its just the change from NL but iv had to work real hard to fold some hands hence the brain strain thread cause its tough for me.
