To be fair, Dan, even now I do 'ape' when this happens to me. It's the god's/card's/site's/everyone else's fault before my own!

Watching my Dad suffer for the last year, now piss out of a bag, have two markers come back not looking good, realise that it's most likely he's going to lose something else - this is what made Sharon and I give up.

I did have to convince myself first though. A good book helped me teaching me that all the bullshit excuses "It's my only vice, it helps me relax, it's fun, they taste good, it's something to do, I may get run over by a bus, etc. - I could go on!" are all things my brain does to try to trick me into keeping its addiction fed. Well, you know what, my brain can go fuck if it can't see it was killing the rest of my body and making everyone around me suffer.
