Heres the hand, its only low stakes, I'm multitabling - the players at this level 10:25 are actual pretty solid (I think the 10:25 leve is harder than the 25:50 level!)

Seat 8: Hopelesglory folded on the River
Seat 9: 5MilePoint is sitting out

    He's a solid player and his stats were 24% VPIP / 13 % over 340 hands

I have to go out now, but later I'll update with my thoughts and his possible holdings.

Basically I thought he had a straight and folded - so many times I call here and basically at this level people almost never bet the river on a bluff, especially if they have solid stats!!! So I'm sure it was a value bet, I just don't know whether it was a hand that was weaker (e.g. A9 hearts or 444) than mine or a hand that was stronger (58 35 or 8Thh)

    Any comments appreciated!

I would say why not raise preflop?
rognan2009: may now have the straight with 5-8

HI hoplessglory. I dont play cash all that often but when i play it i play it aggressively so i agree with alex that a small raise pre may affect the dynamic of the hand. Also i dont know your bankroll know your but i expect calling that bet off whether it is a value bet by him wont really affect your roll. So i say call as there is a good chance your ahead. He may be holding 10 8 of hearts which seems most likely by the way the hand plays but still he may be bluffing the ace or have 2 pair with the ace. I would of called but my style isnt condusive to cash. gl on the tables peace.

I don't mind the limp preflop, but on the flop I'd either be slowplaying and hoping to hit house, or shoving when rognan makes it $3.90. Reraising to 10 and then folding to 15 on the river seems right inbetween the 2, and I think there's more bad turns and rivers for you than good ones, so it's the worst choice. Either slow play and check call, or shove ott of his re.

    all imo of course!
