Hi all, no joy on laddys tonight apart from Rince letting me know i won the Cheltenham package via the mtt leaderboards! which was a nice suprise
Struggling on fulltilt 21k $50 tourney 24th of 26... 552 runners...played it as fo and monies up to 260 so profit for the night so cant grumble

2 nights hotel, Laddys VIP box dinner/drinks i suppose, helecoptor rides to and from racecourse poker tourney amonst 20 laddys players or so for a brighton package...sounds ok to say i didnt even realise i was in the running tbh

Having a few days off the poker, had a bad run (again lol) - hate to keep playing when I'm not feeling good about the game!

Actually going to have some mentoring here soon, hopefully that will put me back on track, been having a bad run, start to play badly, vicious cycle so need to get back on track!

I see you're doing some of the mentoring - good luck with it, hope it goes well

Just been chatting to Rick about the site etc, I think he's done a cracking job with it and reckon it should do pretty well.

edit: unless average stack was something like 7-10bb in which case it was fine

with 4bbs i'd rather have 78 soooted against one person than 77 against a raise and reraise...

just in case someone asks why...

78 sooted v one persons raising hand (any pair, any ace, any broadway) youre 40% ish.

77 v reraising hand (AK AA KK QQ JJ) youre 30% at best

77 v reraising hand (ditto) and calling reraise hand (similar depnding on player and raise size) youre 20-25%

77 v reraising hand and loose donkey hand (any pair, any ace, any 2 high cards) youre 20-25%

77 v 2 loose donkeys (2* any pair, any ace, any 2 high cards) is best situ here, and youre still only 35-40% ish.

I realise youre getting better value in the 3 way version, but value doesnt matter much if youre out %70-80% of the time.

As an aside if it was a turbo im all in with 77 there everytime, as even if you double and get blinds with something else in a better situ, 10bbs stack is still very much in trouble in a turbo.
