chat ban Tonites forum game

Gl all in tonights tourney.
I am not being Iggnorant, I have a chat ban.

Looks like angie12345 the "Non forum member" is gonna sit there and finish in the money without playing a hand

We should check check check and min raise her bb for half an hour to get her out.
Would that be collusion?

I am certainly tee-ed off that someone can play an occassional hand and bloomin-well cash. I pay my money most weeks to try and keep the forum game and spirit and chat alive...on a measly 10 hrs min wage and tryin to live and someone just swans in and cashes with no effort and little presence......sorry, I didn't realise you were playing and chat-banned. GL to you, Jedi and Bainn, players playing.

Right, H has f....ed up, as ever, even tho' she never posts and chats of any consequence, for fear of upsetting anyone, because the player mentioned in the previous post has been able to join the game now and was trying to help promote the forum, invited by Rick, and to bring more players. Sorry, I was just so cheesed with initial non-appearance of folk when we are trying to get and keep this forum game going. I am sorry I offended you and i am sorry it distracted the other players.

Who was going to throw the game? As for sitting out, I regularly do it. I, for one, have a life outside of poker. Is the age-old adage - if I pay to play, I can do with my chips, what I like. If I choose to go all in with any two suited cards, then I can. If I sit out, I sit out. I don't get the ill feelings around this.

Harmony expressed her dislike of someone buying in then sitting out while attending a party when play was shorthanded.

Think Angie replied she would throw the game, not entirely sure of details as I turned my chat off.

Might I just add that this was after welcoming everyone as we all do usually, trying to get some banter going, welcoming new names we didn't recognise and asking after them and who they were on the forum and trying to get some socialising going as is a major idea behid the forum game.

We then realise that one person had been sitting out whilst attending a party next door, and saying she was not a forum member, (tho' later she said was on Shark yonks ago) even though they only registered quite late and it was short-handed. Yep, as I said, it annoyed me that someone could likely cash without bothering to attend. But I had put my foot in this in trying to make a friendly bantering game out of it initially. The person had been invited by Ric to see the game and swell numbers, though really you have to make the effort to attend all the way through, IMHO, but I certainly did not want to upset someone especially with us wanting to sswell nos. But I am sure many of u would admit to getting frustrated about this at times. Fine, in an MTT, but short-handed, makes a mockery of playing IMHO.
Anyway, I did apologise but none of it helped the other players and I told the person that no-one would appreciate her throwing away her game once she did come and play constantly.

Yep, I have a life outside of poker, Sunday evening is the only evening Bainn and I get as an evening together, but it is also only one of two evenings Bainn gets to play and we have been trying to support the forum game.

Anyway, I doubt I will make it next week as we are heavily involved in a big family do - so if I don't make it that is the reason why.

I hate hard-feelings and don't post for probs of misinterpretations but maybe I could just be forgiven for blowing my top once in a while when I commit my time.

Also, MadV, yes, I see what you are saying re: you pay your money and they are your chips and you do what you want with them. We also understand that regulars cannot be playing all the time and we know your commitment with Sharon and I, certainly, admire your ensuring you get quality time together, and of curse, that involves travelling time. When someone new comes along - someone that those of us playing do not recognise - and they don't answer for an age (takes awhile to realise they are not at their seat, and yes, that could be for all sorts of reasons and often, unintentional) but when they appear new to you, and say they are not a forum member, it is easy to feel they are taking the proverbial as well as the cash with no effort. I also feel that as they were invited to play by the forum leader then they should politely respect that and play the full game. Maybe I am being old-fashioned too in that view. I just think it is good manners and you are invited to see what you think and hopefully bring more numbers along.

Anyway, those are my views, in this instance.

I see both the points you make in your posts and admire your honesty in these situations.

I, and I know we're all different, will accept dead money into a game anytime (just think how much Bainn provides ).

I salute you for your dedication to this forum, and so should all members.
