Last nights £100 GUKPT side event.

Got to last 4 as very slight chipleader when I pick up 77 in sb. UTG (2nd in chips) raises and I think for quite a while knowing he has a wideish range but he continues to give info away while I'm in the tank and eventually I put him on a pp from 22-88 and when he says 'I will call you if you push all-in', I insta-shove. bb folds and he insta-calls showing 55 and spikes his set of fives for 75% of the chips in play and cripples me and I go out next hand trying to get back in contention with a couple of double-ups. He wins not long afterwards

Another 4th place for me and £1190 which means I will end the week with at least a small profit.

Again, no trophy but getting closer

Anyway won a seat in the main event in the £30 rebuy earlier this week, no rebuys or add-ons for me though and I start today.

Just recieved word that it was SPS Mentor Justin 'SOXxxx' Lewis who took down this £100 side event, winning £4.3k, great result and could of been so different from the sounds of the 77 v 55, but such is poker...
