It works for me, gives me a decent start on 5k, so i can find my ground, the 2k ones i lost 500 then its over and out, atleast this way i feel a bit more at home, and its a great game with a decent reward for me not been a pkr god....just yet lol

Im hoping to win this tournie (if not today) then by the end of the month.

Pateience and hard work....im on it.

p.s 1: is 250 too much to raise with AA if im first to act??
2: how do i play AK suited in BB??

    in the 1st i raised 250, all folded :-(
    2nd raised 100, flop 848 raiser 300 i fold
any tips from the great philosopher?

    :-)

All these things depend on the table dynamics, blind sizes, how many at table, stage of MTT, position, your stack size, others stack sizes, known fish/calling stations etc.

It's very difficult to give a standard raise which will cover all situations m8. If it's early in a turbo then all in from any position is yer play. king

If it's a high stack (which I know you prefer) then the standard 4 or 5x bb will probably have little effect on guys with KJ suited, suited connectors of any description or low pocket pairs. You need to be popping it a bit more than you may want to because I know it's natural to want customers when you wake up with rockets. What you have to be mindful of is that you make sure to attract the correct customers. Three and four way pots are pretty much gonna kill your Aces a lot of the time so don't be afraid to lump if you think there is a guy who will call you with most anything.

You seem to be moving in the right direction m8 so just keep up the good work and always look to analyse your play if you get put out thinking you were hard done by. Many times if you check your hand play you may find you let someone in cheaply or underbet at a flop thinking you were golden but that underbet was cheap enough for MrX to catch his card on the turn/riv etc.

Table dynamics means how the general play of the table can be looked at. Is it a tight table with very little pre flop raising or are you sitting in the middle of a mad house?

Raise 4 x bb on a loose table and it will get returned to you with interest. Raise too much on a tight table and you lose all chance of seeing a flop with a good starting hand.
