    ....would you choose ?

so, you sat at your computer 5 tabling the $100 cash games, when "A la Matrix", the poker gods contact you through the screen.

You are offered one of the following gifts for your services to poker and being a member of a forum they particularly like -

    1) You will win 7 tournaments of your choosing in 1 year.

    or

    2) You will win every coinflip you ever find yourself in over a period of 2 years.

Which one do you choose ?

    ??????/

    what?

Have 2 people just chosen option 2?

    Have i missed something?

I will win 7 tournaments of my choosing over the next year?

    This is the clear choice!

I'll win the wsop main event please, mbe a few other interesting tourns if I can be fussed getting out of my pile of 9 million dollars

If its just online, then fair enough, but there's enough online major tourns with 1/2 a mill or a mill as first prize ecoop, stars, etc, and once again I have a tidy swimming pool of dollars.

As for winning every coinflip for 7 years - that would be so frustrating - you get it in with QQ v AK you win every time, but with 11 left you still get muffed with AA v 22. Great fun.

The tournaments can be live, online or a mixture.

Option 1 seems the most sensible, if you're playing good poker, how many actual coinflips do you willingly enter ?

Please note, we're talking "Coinflips", mid pair vs two overs, that sort of thing.

Intriguing, I think most would assume doubling up each time, but there was no mention of being called.

You could keep pushing to make the buyin to the next level, what's the top limits played these days ?

I for one dont mind being called or not as "to win everytime" nosebleeds on FTP $2000/$4000 sh is $36k per round with just the blinds add to that the $500/$1000

Can I just put the truthful poker player hat on for a bit here?

We play poker for a variety of reasons. I enjoy the banter and the buzz of FT's along with the camaraderie that comes with online and live play.

We all have reasons we love the game and money is way way near the top of the list. However...........

anyone that says they don't enjoy the slaps on the back for playing a great bluff, or making a good read and calling correctly or having people cheer you on at a FT is lying through their teeth!

That's the main reason that if option b) was a lifetime deal then we would ALL choose it!

We're all a bit egotistical and enjoy our brief appearances in the spotlight.

That's my tuppence worth on this thread but I hope you all enjoy more than your fair share of luck when it comes to coinflips.

Unless of course you are flipping against me!!!!! cheers

I was about to reply with the same response as Rick (before I'd read his pots). What a complete no-brainer option 1 is. I'll take the WSOP main event and forget the pocket change I'll actually win, I've now secured Team Pokerstars or whoever sponsorship to play whatever I like for life! Who cares if I then don't win coin flips - I'll just enter coin flips.

As for Rick's daft question; I'd have to go for option 2 because you could easily make 1 million in a week, never mind a year, simply playing the big online tournaments.

Correct answer! If you always win when all in before river, then you win every tourn you play as long as you dont go all in on river like a tool What a Face Shippety ship main event tyty
