Stupid..............but!

Before you all jump in, i know this is a ridiclous call however...

Last night in the 60k GTD i was on 24k, 3hrs gone, one raiser utg, one all in, the all in guy was a total fish all game.

I look down on 22... think and fold...UTG calls...

Both show chite and on flop the 2 is there, then on turn 2!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr 65k pot gone.. oh well right decision anyway by folding

This morning, it shows up again, after holding my solid image i think....mmm last night...nice pot...today...ok lets roll




BINGO....takes out both AA and KK

And yes it was a stupid call and yes ill remember it when it happens to me

But for now.

Personally i dont mind the call initially with pocket pair in mid posi. bit risky with the all in call tho. There is a case for thinking they might both be on A big kickers, but that would be a decision based on the info you'd gained on their playing styles in game. But then if niether of them pushed, then you see a flop & ur all in anyhoo!

As stated the 1st caller was a limpet, total nut job, my initail thought is the all in was a steal.

Yeah any hand beats 22, but u cant always follow %'s or odds, u have that feeling and u go for it.

But as u say, it wasnt the best of moves.

Just very very lucky, and you need that at times to make it to the FT

Im still in and fighting strong.

So being on this table for an hour now.

The guy who raises has been on 25k, down to 1600 and back to his stack now... tilt aint the word, and after seening what he raises with i felt i had a strong place to call his raise. Good job i did.

Danny you bleat on & on about the game being full of donks and the sites are bent and blah blah blah. You are a new player who thinks he knows it all. Nothing new in that. If you are referring to the second hand you posted then quite frankly I don't know whether you calling his raise was justified or not because after looking at your first hand on here that was enough for me. I didn't look at anything after it. I still haven't btw.

I think the problem is your constant know it all attitude m8. You post hand after hand of blatant noob play by yourself, dress it up as "I had to make a stand" or "I just had a feeling" or "I love this hand, that's why I called his raise" and then expect everyone to have sympathy when you have a genuine hand get a bad beat! Sorry Danny but you can't have it both ways. Stop whining about sites being rigged or idiots calling your fantastic bets and busting your amazing hands or else stop posting stupid plays by yourself and expect no one to say anything about it.

You are doing EXACTLY the same thing to them that you are complaining about them doing to you. You call them donks I believe.

Danny, please read Khenny's post through a few times. He sums you up perfectly. However you dress up your calls, with the stack sizes you have and the tournament positions, it's a donk play. Last night I was calling with 24 suited etc. I got the abuse of the table. It wasn't because I'm a donk, or I felt luck or it was my favourite hand. It was to do with prospects, pot sizes, fear, implications, being the initial better, possibility of prizes, time of night, table dynamics, odds, percentages etc.

You really need to get past this newbie-know-it-all stage and realise that there is a wealth of knowledge on this forum, you just need to accept it.

From now on ill keep my beats and brags to myself.. cant be arsed with all the negetivity from others.

the points made were very valid, and if u read between the "negativty" as you describe it, people are only trying to helping u to improve your game.
i haven't read other posts, but only what u showed on the hand replayer, the 1st hand is play of the worst order, not one thing in the history of poker makes your call right, it was truely an awful call.
the second hand i would call all day and you played the hand the way you should of, and u were gifted by a shove on ur set.
my advise is listen to people on here, and assess your hands, poker is about making the correct decisions at the right times, and not hoping to get lucky.
poker forums are mainly for this reason and general banter. people who brag about how they donkeyed someone with pathetic play are not doing themselves any favours.

even the worlds best players admit they are still learning, and thats how they stay on top of the game, coz poker changes daily and you never see the exact same situation twice.
listening to people who are more experienced than you should be a taken and not dismissed. your game will improve very quickly once you take praise and negativity the right way and use it.

gl with improving ur game, no one is perfect in poker, just some people are less flawed and have smaller ego's, and they are the ones who profit in the long run
