Banksoir Mentor Session Feedback Empty Banksoir Mentor Session Feedback

    Post  Cleric147 Thu Mar 19, 2009 5:16 am

Firstly a big thanks to Neil - Banksoir - for the mentoring session that I had on Tuesday night.

If I'm honest (I problem I have occassionally!) I was a bit nervous before the session for a number of reasons. However, Neil soon put me at ease by telling me i wasn't the worse player he'd ever seen (i just reminded him of them!) Wink

Joking apart we soon got into the crux of two or three elements of my game that i wanted help with and some points that Neil spotted in my game.

I know perception is reality (or is it?) but it is amazing how some points look from a different perspective. We are not reinventing the wheel here but putting some concept and plays into practice can be more difficult than it seems. Neil was able to demonstrate practical examples of when and how to make certain situations pay.

The report that followed the session is really helpful because i now face the most important stage which is making changes to my game some of which are habitual.

I expect to be booking further sessions as my first has been very valuable which i hope to make profitable.

Thanks Neil and Ric keep up the good work.

Hi, I just wanted to add my comments about a session I had with Neil last Thursday. To say it was value for money is an understatement. The tips and pointers Neil had to improve my game were well worth the $140 I paid. Neil even stayed on after my three hours were up as we were doing well in one of the tournaments I'd entered.

As Cleric said, the after session report was very useful, highlighting the good (yes, there were some) and the bad (a few more of those) points about my game. In addition to this there was a run through of a couple of hands I'd played with comments on how they were played.

I would definitely recommend a session with Neil to anyone looking to improve their game and will be booking another one in the near future.

Thanks again to Neil for the session and to Rick for helping out with the numerous paypal problems.
