Limp, call a standard raise, if I do not connect on flop, fold.

lol so true.. same here, though i'd be making my brew Smile

Assuming i'm at the computer tho, It's a good question chipped, as I don't like playing hands out of position so early in a tournament, when ive got no idea how everyone on my table plays.

However I also don't really like limping first into pots, although if youre going to limp 1st in then level 1 is prob a good time to do it.

Personally id make a raise to 75-95, and take it from there. If i get reraised by anyone except a known donkey, im insta folding. Im betting any heads up flops except awful ones like ttx, jjx, qqx, or str8/flush flops. 3 way or more and im hit or dump prob, unless mbe one is the bb or sb, and they check.

i used to make it 100 or 120 to go, but then if you get 1 caller, youre c bet needs to be quite big, and youre liable to lose a lot of chips first hand, never good.

Nowadays i make a much smaller raise, or even limp.

i quite like limping, if someone makes a small raise i might reraise them, or just call a slightly larger raise.

interesting thread as i just read an article from a top pro, erik kindstren?? is that how ya spell it? and he says basically he is very very careful in the first/early stages of an mtt, even with massive hands like AA and has even been known to autofold them.

small raise for me,then see how the flop looks.
